We started Signature Steel hoping to ease the common stress and frustrations with the unreliable and slow metal supply problems in Northwest Arkansas. We have a lot of connections with construction contractors in the region and decided we would do something about their complaints. Our solution: starting a new company with a commitment to speed, integrity, dependability, and quality. We’re grateful to have the opportunity to provide industry leading metal roll-forming services to the fine folks of Northwest Arkansas.
Meet the Owners
Rodney Miller
Rodney spent most of his childhood on his dad’s farm in southern Missouri, raising cattle and grain farming. At the age of 21 he started his own business brokering hay and straw. 10 years later he moved to Arkansas and brought his business with him. After getting married, Rodney decided the hay and straw operation was not what he wanted to do long term. So he sold it and partnered with Ladon to start Signature Steel.
Rodney is excited about the future of the steel industry in NWA and he is eager to be a business man that serves the community by providing quality metal products and friendly service while portraying Christ in all his business dealings.
Rodney’s hobbies include golfing with friends and traveling around the US with his wife Tina.
Ladon Sommers
After living in Montana for 10 years, Ladon wanted to move south. He settled in Northwest Arkansas and is loving it! He grew up doing construction, specializing in metal roofing and buildings. With a background in metal construction, Ladon is excited to be serving the industry with speciality siding, roofing, and trim products. He also enjoys the opportunity to interact and do business with the local community while trying to live his life by Colossians 3:17.
When he’s not busy at the metal shop, Ladon enjoys playing recreational sports. He also loves the beautiful summer evenings in Arkansas.
